Because things have been pretty crazy around the Simpson home since my last post!
We found out we were expecting a little one. :-) We actually found out while we were in Colorado for our family vacation. I intended on blogging through my pregnancy but I was pretty sick for the first half and then once I got to feeling better (thank the good Lord for medicine) I just felt guilty because I waited too long to start.
Any whoo... In December we found out we were having a precious little girl!! I was convinced from the beginning of my pregnancy that we were going to have a girl but it was nice to have that confirmed LOL. We had a gender reveal party with our family and a few close friends.
And in April Sarah Jo Simpson finally made her appearance! April 15th to be exact! It was a Friday and we have just been loving, snuggling, adjusting, sleeping (when we can) and changing lots of diapers since she made her grand entrance into our lives. Now that I have somewhat of a schedule worked out with her (and I am fasting from TV) I am going to try to get started again on the old blog. :-) I will also do a full post about her birth story. It. Was. Amazing. :-)
This holiday weekend has been a busy one for us. Yesterday we went to Micheal's parents house after church to spend some time with them and have lunch. It was nice to see them. They brought Granny Jo home for the day so we could visit with her and she could see Sarah since she is still too little to take her to the nursing home. Billy Joe and Courtney stopped by for a bit and they got to meet Sarah.
After we left there we headed over to my parents for part 2 of the 4th of July celebration. Poppa, Ronnie, and Renee came over and we had dinner and enjoyed a nice visit. Nana was not feeling well so she did not come and Adam is out of town with some friends for the weekend so we did not get to see him or Ches.
This morning we have just enjoyed having a laid back morning at home as a family. Micheal cooked us breakfast and we just hung out with Sarah and listened to her talk and coo. :-) So precious. I spent the rest of the morning uploading pictures from my phone to the computer because I am completely out of memory on my phone... and that is just not ok when you have an adorable baby you need to take pictures of!!! Sarah is taking a nap and we will head over to Nanny and Pappys in a couple of hours to celebrate with them.
We are so blessed to live in this amazing country and have the freedom we do.
